1.4. Personal data is processed privacy policy in the manner prescribed.
2. Website content
2.1. The website publishes information about the Association’s activities, expert insights, news and documents. It is intended to inform the public.
2.2. Information published on the website is not, and must not be taken to be, legal, financial, security or any other professional advice. When making decisions, rely on official sources and, where necessary, on professional advice.
2.3. Opinions expressed by experts, authors and guests are their own and do not necessarily reflect the Association’s position.
2.4. We aim to keep information accurate and current, but we do not guarantee that it will always be complete or free of inaccuracies.
3. Intellectual property
3.1. The website’s content — text, photographs, video, graphics, logos and their arrangement — is protected by copyright and belongs to the Association or is used with the permission of the rights holders.
3.2. You are free to read and print the content, and to share links to it, for personal and non-commercial purposes.
3.3. When texts are reprinted or quoted in the media or on other public platforms, the source must be credited — the Association’s name and a link to the original page.
3.4. Using the content for commercial purposes, adapting it, or using it in a way that gives the impression that the Association endorses a third party’s activities, is permitted only with the Association’s prior written consent (info@visuotinegynyba.lt).
3.5. The logos, marks and names of the Association and its partners may not be used without separate permission.
4. Rules of use
4.1. When using the website, you undertake to:
- to give accurate information when filling in forms;
- not to use the website for unlawful purposes;
- not to interfere with the operation of the website, not to attempt to gain unlawful access to its systems or data, and not to distribute malicious software;
- not to harvest the contact details of people featured on the website by automated means;
- not to send defamatory, hateful or otherwise unlawful content through the forms.
4.2. If we notice a breach of these rules, we may restrict access to the website and refer the matter to the competent authorities.
5. Donations: general provisions
5.1. The Association accepts donations in accordance with the Law on Charity and Sponsorship of the Republic of Lithuania.
5.2. A donation is voluntary and given without consideration — no goods or services are provided in return, and it confers no rights over the Association’s governance or decisions.
5.3. Donations may be made by both natural and legal persons. In making a donation you confirm that the funds are of lawful origin and that you are entitled to dispose of them.
5.4. A natural person making a donation must be at least 18 years old.
5.5. The Association reserves the right not to accept a donation, or to return it, if there is doubt about the origin of the funds, if the donation is made on conditions contrary to the Association’s aims, or if accepting it could harm the Association’s reputation or independence.
6. Ways to donate, and payments
6.1. Donations can be made by payment card, Apple Pay, Google Pay or bank transfer. The amount can be chosen from those offered or entered freely.
6.2. Card and mobile wallet payments are processed by the payment service provider Stripe. The Association neither receives nor stores payment card details — we see only whether the payment succeeded, and the contact details you provide.
6.3. The payment service provider’s own terms also apply to payments. The payment service provider or your bank may refuse to carry out a transaction; in such cases the Association is not liable for the payment failing.
6.4. Donations by bank transfer are made using the following details:
- Recipient: association VISUOTINĖ GYNYBA
- Company code: 308006727
- Bank: AB SEB BANKAS
- Account: LT23 7044 0901 1701 6845
- Payment reference: parama
6.5. A donation is treated as made from the moment the funds are credited to the Association’s account.
6.6. The Association charges no additional fees for making a donation. Your bank may apply its own charges.
7. Monthly donations
7.1. If you choose a monthly donation, the amount you selected is debited automatically each month from the date of the first payment until you stop it.
7.2. You can stop a monthly donation at any time, without giving a reason — write to info@visuotinegynyba.lt. We will stop it within 5 working days and confirm by email.
7.3. Cancellation takes effect for the future — payments already made are not refunded, except in the cases set out in section 8.
7.4. If an automatic payment fails (an expired card, insufficient funds), the payment service provider may retry it. After several failed attempts, the monthly donation is stopped.
7.5. We will give advance notice by email of any change to the terms of monthly donations.
8. Refunds
8.1. A donation is given without consideration and voluntarily, and so is not normally refunded. The consumer’s right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days does not apply to donations, because no goods or services are supplied in return.
8.2. We will nevertheless refund a donation if you contact us within 14 days of the payment and:
- an amount was debited in error, or debited more than once;
- an amount was debited that is clearly not the one you chose;
- the payment was made without your consent;
- a monthly donation was debited after you had already stopped it.
8.3. Send your request to info@visuotinegynyba.lt, stating the date and amount of the payment and the email address you used when you donated. We will reply within 5 working days, and any refund will be transferred back to the same account or card the payment was made from within 14 days of the request being granted.
8.4. In other cases the Association decides on a refund at its own discretion, having considered the circumstances.
9. Use of donations and accountability
9.1. Donations received are used to pursue the aims set out in the Association’s statutes.
9.2. If a donor does not specify a particular purpose, the use of the funds is determined by the Association’s governing bodies.
9.3. The Association keeps accounts of donations and submits the reports on donations received and used that are required by law to the State Tax Inspectorate.
9.4. Information about the Association’s activities, finances and governance is published the transparency and governance page.
10. Documents confirming a donation, and taxation
10.1. If you provide an email address, we will send a document confirming your donation to it.
10.2. For legal entities, donation agreements and other accounting documents are issued by arrangement — please get in touch info@visuotinegynyba.lt.
10.3. The tax consequences of making a donation depend on the donor’s status and on the particular circumstances. The Association does not provide tax advice — for reliefs, contact the State Tax Inspectorate or your own accountant.
10.4. Residents may also allocate a share (up to 1.2%) of the personal income tax they have already paid to the Association through the State Tax Inspectorate’s electronic declaration system. This is not an additional payment — it is a share of tax already paid.
11. Charter and sponsorship applications
11.1. The organisation Charter and sponsorship forms are an invitation to make proposals, not an offer by the Association. Submitting an application does not in itself create a contractual relationship.
11.2. The Association assesses applications and decides at its own discretion whether to begin cooperating; it is not obliged to give reasons for a refusal.
11.3. The terms of cooperation are set out in a separate document signed by the parties.
11.4. We respond to applications within 10 working days.
12. Links to other websites
12.1. The website may contain links to third-party websites. The Association is not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. When you visit them, those websites’ terms apply.
13. Liability
13.1. The website is provided as it is. The Association gives no warranty of uninterrupted operation and has the right to change, suspend or discontinue the website at any time.
13.2. The Association is not liable for losses arising from the website being unavailable, from technical faults or connection failures, or from your having relied on information published on the website, except where liability arises from the Association’s intent or gross negligence, or where mandatory legal provisions do not permit it to be limited.
13.3. Nothing in these terms limits the consumer rights conferred by mandatory provisions of the law of the Republic of Lithuania.
14. Governing law and disputes
14.1. These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Lithuania.
14.2. We first seek to resolve disputes by negotiation. Get in touch info@visuotinegynyba.lt — we will reply within 14 days.
14.3. If no agreement is reached, the dispute is settled by the courts of the Republic of Lithuania at the location of the Association’s registered office, unless the law provides otherwise.
14.4. A consumer may also submit a request or complaint to the State Consumer Rights Protection Authority (Vilniaus g. 25, LT-01402 Vilnius, tel. +370 5 262 6751, email tarnyba@vvtat.lt, www.vvtat.lt).
15. Changes to these terms
15.1. The Association may amend these terms. The current version is published on this page, with its date shown at the top.
15.2. A donation is governed by the version of the terms in force when it was made. We will give advance notice by email of any change that materially affects monthly donations.
